Tungsten carbide tools are exceptionally durable due to the incredible hardness of this material. These tools are extremely sharp and retain their original sharpness for a very long time. Although you can sharpen them with a diamond file if necessary (we recommend 600 grit), in most cases, they won’t need sharpening for several months or even several years. CARE AND USEHandle the blades with great care. Although they are extremely hard, they can break if dropped due to their fragility. Always store them safely to prevent them from being dropped accidentally. TIPS FOR USE. Because the blades are very sharp, vibration may occur during use. This effect occurs when the sharp edge cuts deeply into the clay, causing vibrations. To reduce vibration: Use both hands to stabilize the tool. Make sure that the shavings are no thicker than 2 mm and are of uniform thickness. Make sure the clay isn’t too dry. When shaping clay, hold the tool firmly and make sure the clay is the right consistency. Over time, you’ll get a feel for what conditions work best for your shaping style.
