It has been extensively tested in numerous ceramics workshops, and we know exactly how it works. Its creation involved numerous processes-the firing stage alone takes about 10 hours. This tool is made of hardened steel with exceptionally high hardness. After heat treatment, this steel also becomes corrosion-resistant. The blades are hand-forged, so their shape may vary slightly, but they all retain the same profile, size, and purpose. We do not use presses or other automated processes in production. The tool is very sharp, so vibration may occur during use. This effect occurs when the sharp edge cuts deeply into the clay. To minimize this, stabilize the tool with both hands. You’ll achieve the best results when the shavings are no thicker than 2 mm and of uniform thickness.
