Mayco UG-003 Baby Blue underglaze paint, when fired at a low temperature, produces a matte blue color if not covered with a transparent glaze. If you want a more intense color, or if the piece will be used for food, apply a clear glossy or clear matte glaze. Firing at Cone 6 (±1220 degrees), oxidizing atmosphere: The color becomes more intense. Firing at Cone 10 (±1300 degrees), in a reduction atmosphere: The color becomes more intense.
