When fired at Cone 6 (1220 degrees), Mayco SW-228 Beetlewing glaze is a glossy, green glaze that highlights the texture of the piece and features a iridescent sheen. When applied in 3 coats, the glaze becomes moderately runny. Cone 10 (1300 degrees): The glaze becomes glossy and blue.
