SW-227 TIDAL WAVE
€22.99
Mayco SW-227 Tidal Wave glaze, when fired at Cone 6, is a glossy, semi-opaque white glaze that highlights the texture of the piece. It contains blue crystals. The base color is stable, but the crystals may cause the glaze to shift. Cone 10: The glaze becomes glossy and blue. A thick layer of crystals can affect the color and the flow of the glaze. TIP The base of this glaze is SW-223 Milk Glass. Once the package is opened, the crystals usually settle at the bottom, so it is necessary to stir or shake the glaze well before each use. Runoff: Crystals can cause the glaze to flow, so avoid high concentrations of them at the bottom of the piece to prevent the glaze from running onto the kiln shelf. Storage: To make it easier to access and stir the crystals, you can store the glaze with the crystals in it upside down.
