When fired at Cone 5 or 6, Mayco SW-128 Cordovan glaze takes on a deep, dark red wine color, and the surface becomes semi-glossy. When applied to white or red clay bodies, this glaze produces a brick-red or iron-red hue. At Cone 10, the color changes to a dark gray metallic with copper and black speckles. TIP: Two coats should be enough to achieve a rich red color and opaque coverage. If you apply the polish thinly, you may need a third coat.
