Potter’s Choice Flux is a line of glazes designed for those who love movement, fluidity, and the unpredictable play of colors. Inspired by the popular Honey Flux, the glazes in this series act as a flux, adding extra fluidity and softness to other layers. It is an indispensable tool in any potter’s arsenal for creating an organic, lively, and deep surface. WHY IS THIS SERIES SPECIAL?1. Highlighting Texture: These glazes look stunning on textured surfaces. They crack along the edges, subtly revealing the color of the clay and highlighting every carving or impression. 2. Endless layering possibilities: PCF glazes are true masters of teamwork. They pair perfectly with: other Potter’s Choice glazes. Amaco Celadon Series. With Amaco Shino glazes. 3. Color softening and texture: When used alone, they create a soft, smooth surface; however, when layered with other glazes, they soften their colors and increase their flow, creating beautiful drips. TECHNICAL INFORMATIONFiring temperature: It is recommended to fire at Cone 5-6. Cone 5 ≈ 1186°C Cone 6 ≈ 1222°C Biscuit temperature: Apply to a biscuit fired to Cone 04 (1063°C ). Tip: Since the PCF series increases the flow of the glaze, be careful when applying layers near the bottom of the piece-leave a little more space at the bottom so the glaze doesn’t run onto the kiln shelf!
