Amaco PC-21 Arctic Blue is a stunning, opaque light blue glaze characterized by a smooth and uniform surface. Its uniqueness is particularly evident on textured pieces: along the edges and raised areas, the glaze breaks and reveals a soft russet hue, lending the piece a natural look and visual contrast. This color evokes the serenity of Arctic glaciers and is particularly popular among potters for its stability and excellent aesthetic qualities when combined with other glazes. Layering: This glaze works especially well when layered with other glazes from the Amaco Potter’s Choice series, providing them with a light, calm base or interesting color transitions. Arctic Blue reveals its best qualities when applied generously. A thin layer may not provide the desired opacity and depth of color. Tips: 1. Shake well before use. 2. For best results, do not dilute the glaze. 3. Apply 3 coats with a brush to the Cone 04 bisque. 4. Let each coat dry completely before applying the next one.
