G&S 371 CLAY

Goerg & Schneider (G&S) 371 is a stoneware clay body containing 25% fine grog (0–0.2 mm). Recommended firing temperature: 1000°C–1240°C. Properties: This plastic clay is suitable for both handbuilding smaller objects and throwing on the potter’s wheel (especially recommended for larger pieces). Color development: At lower temperatures, this body produces attractive, light gray hues that deepen into anthracite and solid black with increasing temperatures.

G&S 371 is a universal clay containing 25% fine grog (0–0.2 mm). It turns black when fired at high temperatures (1240–1280°C) and remains gray when fired at a low temperatures (1000°C).
