BOTZ 9899 Travertin Stoneware Glaze – Notes & Application Tips:
- Silky-matt glaze with blue crystals; features a distinct earthy character.
- Apply 2-3 coats (2 coats recommended).
- Firing range: 1220°–1280°C, soak time: 30 min. Best results achieved from 1250°C upwards.
- At 1220°C: a silky-matt, slightly greenish-yellow glaze with very subtle effect interplay.
- At 1250°C: a silky-matt glaze with a beautiful play of colors, dominated by cream and blue crystals; when applied thinly, a terracotta orange tone shines through.
- At 1280°C: a silky-matt to glossy glaze with an exceptionally beautiful play of sand and blue colors; a terracotta orange tone shines through on the edges and when applied thinly; apply 1 thick coat or 2 coats.
