BOTZ 9878 Clear Crackle Stoneware Glaze — Notes & Application Tips:
- Glossy, transparent stoneware glaze with a coarse crackle pattern.
- Apply 2–3 coats (3 coats recommended, as the bisque absorbs the glaze very slowly).
- Does not run.
- Firing temperature range: 1220–1280°C, soak time: 30 min.
- Cracks often appear only after the piece has cooled down; sometimes the full crackle effect takes up to a week to form completely – tint/highlight with color only after it has fully developed. You can use drawing ink (India ink) for this.
