Mayco CC-101 Transparent Crackle creates a transparent, crackled surface at low temperatures, through which the underlying designs or decorations are clearly visible. When fired at a high temperature (Cone 6), the crackle pattern becomes even more pronounced, but the cracks do not absorb ink or pigments. TIP: After firing, you can apply acrylic or ink to the piece and then wipe it off-this will allow the pigment to fill in and highlight the cracks.
