SW-186 AZURITE

Mayco SW-186 Azurite is a soft-matte, cobalt blue glaze that becomes dark and glossy where it pools, and breaks to a light brown color over edges. EXTREMELY FLUID: This is one of those glazes that loves to run. Tip: Apply thinner coats toward the bottom of the piece. Caution: Exercise extreme care when combining it with other glazes, as “Azurite” can pull them down all the way to the kiln shelf. Not Recommended for Dinnerware: While beautiful, due to surface durability (matte cobalt surfaces may be more susceptible to scratching or acids), it is not recommended for functional dinnerware. Ideal for decorative vases, sculptures, or the exterior of wares.
