Mayco CC-102 White Crackle (low temperature) creates a white, crackled surface through which the decorative elements underneath are visible. When fired at a high temperature (Cone 6), the crackle pattern is finer, but the cracks do not absorb ink or pigments. A variation of reddish hues appears, and the glaze becomes more opaque. TIP: After firing, you can apply acrylic or ink to the piece and then wipe it off-this will allow the pigment to fill and highlight the cracks.
