G&S 258 CLAY
€11.49
Goerg & Schneider (G&S) 258 is a light-firing stoneware body containing 25% black grog (0–0.5 mm). Recommended firing temperature: 1000°C–1240°C. Color: Fades from light to cream, with black grog grains becoming visible against the background.
PROPERTIES AND USAGE:
Forming: This plastic clay is best suited for handbuilding small and medium-sized pieces.
Effect: The contrast between the light clay background and the black grog grains creates a very vibrant, decorative look.
Surface Decoration: A unique and interesting surface texture can be achieved by gently wiping the dry, unfired piece with a damp sponge – this washes away the top layer of clay and further exposes the black grog grains.
