Mayco UG-094 Pansy Purple underglaze, fired at a low temperature, produces a matte purple color if not covered with a transparent glaze. If you want a more intense color, or if the piece will be used for food, apply a clear glossy or clear matte glaze. When fired at Cone 6 (±1220 degrees): The color darkens to a deep blue. When fired at Cone 10 (±1300 degrees): The color takes on an even bluer hue. The recommended clear glaze is SW-001 Stoneware Clear.
